This holiday season we have even more reason to keep our fashion simple—but simple doesn’t have to mean boring! I always design clothes to work in a variety of settings, so my shop is full of pieces that will work for virtual holiday parties and a cozy Christmas morning with your family around the tree.
Usually at this time of year, I am constructing samples and preparing for a photo shoot for the next fall and holiday season, but right now I am in the middle of a deep dive into comfortable designs that are both easy to wear and easy to take care of. I suppose that applies to most of my designs, but it feels especially important as we head into this winter season to make sure getting dressed and looking great is as easy as possible.
One of the new things this fall (it’s not officially winter until December 21!) is small batches of Christmas sweaters. I have several designs in varying degrees of festivity, from a fully decked-out tree to simple pine print sleeves. You can even make sure you’re covered for Poinsettia Day on December 12 without having to worry about keeping it watered!
Maybe you like to layer so much you can’t commit to a whole sweater. Then I’ve got you covered with three short-sleeved tops in subtle Christmas prints. I used a super soft rib-knit to make a top and a longer tunic, so you’ve got the choice of hemline without sacrificing comfort. Plus, a cap sleeve top in a festive French Terry that’s perfect on its own or under a cardigan.
If you want to avoid outright Christmas prints, I’ve also got loads of tunics and dresses that combine stylish, comfy, cozy, and convertible. You might buy them for Christmas, but they will work all year! For those who like the raglan style of the holiday sweaters, there’s a gorgeous navy tunic with mustard leaves on the sleeves. If your leggings don’t have pockets, the colour-sleeve tunic has you covered, and for those who want to keep it neutral, there’s a grey heart-sleeve dress that works whenever, wherever!
