Amaranth Designs - Spring and Summer 2025 - 'A Natural Fit'

Amaranth Designs is celebrating its 25^th year in business this year. 

We started out as a custom fashion design and alterations company and we have now added two collections per year, namely, Spring & Summer and Fall & Winter. 

Amaranth Designs brings classic, timeless, and comfortable clothing to every woman's busy life. We make getting dressed the easiest part of your day. With excellent fit, function and comfort, every woman starts their day feeling their VERY best! Our collections are designed with the busy woman in mind.  Our pieces transition from work to play and from day to evening. 

What you will discover about Amaranth Designs is that we use only the highest quality fabrics.  We pay attention to every little detail.  We create those ‘must have’ pieces that fit your individual style, and we also create fashionable pieces that will last through multiple seasons. 

The 2025 Spring/Summer collection ‘A Natural Fit’ is inspired by the fabrics this year. 

Fabric has always been at the heart of my designs—I choose Canadian fabrics that feel as good as they look, with patterns and textures that stand out from the crowd. This spring is no exception, and I’m taking it a step further.

My clients have been asking me to start sourcing more eco-friendly fabrics for my designs. Part of the reason they shop local is because it means a smaller environmental footprint, and they want to ensure the fabrics they wear are sustainable and made with eco-friendly processes, resulting in more efficient water usage, less pollution, and lower carbon emissions.

These pieces are designed to be worn in a multitude of ways.  Dress them up for a more formal occasion.  Dresses or shorts and tops paired with flip flops, and you are ready for the beach.  Tops, dresses and cardigans are all you are going to need to get you through spring/summer and beyond. 

The textures may be different than previous collections, but the dedication to rich colours, unique patterns, special touches—check out buttons made from coconut! —and a flattering fit remain.

While the fabrics are different than the knits I usually work with—I’ve learned to embrace the character of wrinkles in linen, for example—I’ve found that the quality and feel are exceptional.

Our goal is always to design pieces that will be favourites in your closet to be worn for years to come.  These designs are very easy to dress up or down.   Amaranth Designs’ objective is to design and create garments that suit women of all ages and in every walk of life.
